Daniel Jack Lyons is a New York based photographer whose process is informed by the joint intersection of working as a photo based artist combined with formal training and experiences in human rights research and activism. As a researcher and activist he has been commissioned to work with marginalized populations at a global scale. These experiences inform his photographic work which diverges from journalistic representations of disparity. Rather than exposing inequalities from a distance, Lyons engages participants to honor their resilience and integrity.
